After watching the video about project 3, I am very excited to work on this project. There is so many different areas where you can be creative with this project. I am excited to do the picture editing part. In the past I have bene really interesting in taking photos and editing photos to make them more interesting and being more creative with them. I think that this project is going to be super interesting and I think that I am going to have a lot of fun with this project.
Throughout the Shipka reading, she brings up this idea of “made whole”. When she says this she is talking about the mixture of words, pictures, and movements to combine into one description. She believes that this can be the best way to educate everybody. Although it can seem tricky, Shipka believes that all of these combined can help you communicate with students who are struggling and make it easier for everybody to communicate together and work as a whole. I think that this concept of “made whole” really fits in with project 3. Our assignment for Project 3 is to make a visual representation of ourselves and also a written description of ourselves. I believe that this is similar to what the author of the reading was trying to show. That communication doesn’t only have to be verbal.
