Research Starts With Answers – Alison C. Witte

When I first thought of the topic of research I think of all of the different research papers that I have had to do in the past and how tedious they can be sometimes. I feel that I never truly learned the proper way to do research, but I am ready for ways to learn and expand my knowledge of research. The article goes very into depth about what research is and how exactly it can help you. They go into a lot of depth about how in which you can find research. Alison Witte talks a lot about ways in which one can “seek” for research. People use research to help advance themselves. Research is most known as being used to help support an argument. People can use research in many different ways, but it all depends on how in which you find the research.

In the article it talks about research papers, it says that “the research paper became a tool for teaching students how to use the library, find the right words, and skillfully search through the words of other”. I feel that this is one major part of research, being able to search through information for ways in which they can use that research to their advantage.

To find research in the past, I have tried many different things including: going to the library, searching online, interviews, videos and many other ways. I feel that searching online is usually the most helpful for me and easiest way for me to find research. However at times, I also do enjoy going to the library and finding the perfect book to use as research.
